Thats a tough one considering i love MOST muzzys.lol
Id have to say the 69/70 Mach 1 is the best of the bunch.Beasty good looks & power to match.What more could a petrol head ask 4? ;)

Mustangs are great but pre 70's would really the be pinacle, V8, manual, a/c, consol with tough looking period correct rims and you have a winner.

without a doubt the best looking mustang was the 65-66 fastback... in particular the red and white shelbys... ive seen in them up close and you cant beat them for looks they kill it. like jay leno said ford got it right the first time... johnno

1967 shelby gt 500 is the best ever
1967 was the first year ford put the big blocks in the mustang (s code 390) top by the following year they put the 427 big block in mustangs (? w code)

"The Green Hornet" - the 68 supercharged bigblock shelby coupe with independent 9 inch was the best mustang!!!

The 68 Shelby GT 500KR fastback is definitely the best followed closely by the 2008 Shelby GT 500KR. Don't forget the late models.

Hi guys, Gerg Leech here. One of the posts here is right, we have a couple of model years the wrong way around, but it shouldn't affect your choices. We will adjust this, but for now, note that the Boss 302 was from 1969, not 1968 and the KR was 1968, not 1969. Not big, but there you go.

A little more research needed before this survey was released.
1968 Boss 302.......no such car, the Boss 302 was 1969 & 1970 models only.
1969 Shelby KR Fastback...........no such car, the Shelby KR (King of the Road) range of cars were limited to 1968 GT500's in both convertibles and fastbacks.

The best looking "Mussie" to me is the 71 mach 1 ram air, the best pose car ever for cruising, don't understand why ford never used ram air on the XB gts.

Without doubt the best looking model was the 69 fastback, this car combined classic sports car looks with pure balls. The pinnacle of this shape was the Boss 429 but its little brother was pretty awesome as well (remember that red coca cola beast). Andy

It is amazing in the automotive world that in particular years a really great model and model range is released for me those years are 64, 66, 67 and 68 and of course any Shelby car is a good car. Too many good ones to pick from?

If you mean best as in best performing and sorted out handling wise - without doubt the Boss 302 68

(closely followed the GT350 Shelbys 66 and 67 as they were streets ahead of the ford built models .
